Uncle Steve’s Cabin – First Draft

I’ve completed the first draft of my new novella, Uncle Steve’s Cabin. What a great feeling!  Woooo!

For those of you who have read Return of the Sun, you will know who this story is about. As I was writing Return of the Sun I was curious about the man whose beliefs and actions shaped the future of the other characters. I thoroughly enjoyed fleshing out Steven Metoxen, giving him life. I feel in doing so, I gave new depth to his nephew, Jason.

The next phase is rather more arduous than writing a first draft.  Rewrites can be euphoric and tedious by turns. I hope to have it complete and published sometime in February (which means March, lol).

If you haven’t read Return of the Sun, perhaps Uncle Steve’s Cabin will intrigue you enough to do so. When I’ve finished with Steve, I hope to move on to the next stage in the others’ journey. I’ve been asked what happens after Return of the Sun ends, so I’m giving it some thought. I would like to see what happens to the characters as well.

I will update my progress which I hope proceeds without delay.  A beautiful day to you all.
